#10 – Randy Couture

Randy Couture holds an impressive record of 16 title fights and shares the record for most wins in UFC heavyweight championship bouts (6) with former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

With a total of six title reigns in the UFC, Couture’s legacy is truly remarkable. Randy is not only a multiple time world champion in the organization but continued to compete at a professional level until he was 47 years of age. This is unheard of in modern MMA, the man was truly something special.

#9 – Daniel Cormier

Daniel Cormier achieved greatness as both the former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion. He became the second fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously and was the first to successfully defend titles in two divisions.

Such an impressive achievement has only been achieved by a few fighters in the past. Conor McGregor, and Henry Cejudo also stake a claim to this rare achievement.

#8 – Stipe Miocic

Regarded by many as the greatest UFC heavyweight fighter of all time, Stipe Miocic has etched his name in the history books. He is a former two-time champion in the heavyweight division, showcasing extraordinary longevity and consistent success.

He has beaten some of the biggest names in the sport such as Daniel Cormier, and Francis Ngannou. He has lost to both of these men in the past, however he avenged those losses in emphatic fashion and put a stamp on his number 8 spot.

If Stipe Miocic is successful in his quest to dethrone Jon Jones for the heavyweight title, he would have to move up this list, closer to that number one spot.

Usman currently competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he recently lost his opportunity to reclaim his title against Leon Edwards.

Before this shocking loss, he was the welterweight champion for a whopping 1267 days. He was also The Ultimate Fighter 21 tournament winner. As of July 2023, he is the number 1 ranked fighter in welterweight division.

#6 – Jose Aldo

Having competed in multiple divisions, including featherweight and bantamweight, Jose Aldo is widely considered one of the best mixed martial artists of all time. He was the first UFC featherweight champion after the UFC/WEC merger and is revered as the greatest featherweight ever. He had the longest featherweight title run to date, lasting 1848 days.

Even prior to his recent bout with Rodriguez, Volkanovski’s achievements already set him apart as the undisputed leader in his weight class. It would require a substantial decline to dethrone him. What we are witnessing here is sheer greatness unfolding before our eyes.

It is often difficult to bestow the title of greatest UFC fighter of all time on someone still actively competing, but considering the awe-inspiring accomplishments of this 34-year-old since his UFC debut in 2016, he is undoubtedly deserving of such praise.

#4 – Khabib Nurmagomedov

Nicknamed “The Eagle,” Khabib Nurmagomedov ruled the lightweight division with an unprecedented reign as champion from April 2018 to March 2021. Retiring with an immaculate record of 29 wins and zero losses in the UFC, Khabib left an enduring legacy in the sport.

His wrestling prowess was unmatched, imposing an insurmountable amount of pressure on his opponents, relentlessly pursuing takedowns and continuously pushing forward until he achieved his goal of bringing them to the mat. Once he got them there, fans knew the fight was essentially over. Arguably, he never even lost a single round throughout his career.

#3 – George St Pierre

Georges St-Pierre is a Canadian icon that achieved two-division champion status in the UFC, winning titles in the welterweight and middleweight divisions.

His outstanding performances earned him the Canadian Athlete of the Year title three times, and Camp Combat recognize him as the top MMA welterweight of all time. He later returned after retirement to claim the middleweight title at UFC 217, becoming one of only four fighters in UFC history to be a multi-division champion.

St-Pierre retired as the reigning welterweight champion in December 2013 after defending his title an impressive nine consecutive times.

Although him making it number one on my list for the greatest ufc fighter ever do to his positive drug tests, it’s hard deny him this top spot due to this alone. He cuts through all of his opponents like butter.
